SL/W/COLO/M/27

Suspected to be a 20th Century steel (motor?) yacht, with the marking 'Salviva' on the starboard bow. About 25-30 metres in length, the wreck lies on its port side on seabed 24m deep just off the Barracuda Reef (Degalmada).

The wreck was located by a local dive center recently, in March 2021, based on the information provided by the fishing community who knew of this wreck since 2008 (and refered to it as the "Ruval Nava"). The visibility is not very good at this wreck. There is a thriving population of Lionfish.

There are several openings to the wreck through hatches, but the compartments are filled with a thick layer of silt. There is a small bridge typical to yachts. The compartments seem to be cleaned up and there are no identification aids to ascertain the origins and the identity of this wreck.

*Correction: The type field only has 'Sail & Steam' powered. There is not yet enough evidence that this was powered as engines or funnels have not been observed.
