Overview

One of the two gunboats sank close to each other. A small gunboat known as the 'Rakshaka" belongs to the Sri Lanka Navy. It was in service from 1957 to 1963, decommissioned and anchored in Trincomalee harbour for many years. Two These two wrecks are functioning as artificial reefs letting coral grow on them and making hideouts for marine life.
